Ellis Medicine Plans Midwifery Practice to Expand Maternity Care
NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (NEWS10) —More options for moms in the Capital Region are on the way. This comes as experts say access to OB/GYN care has become more limited. Ellis Medicine has secured a major grant to expand maternity care with a more personalized approach.
Patients at the Bellevue Woman’s Center within Ellis Medicine are cared for by OB/GYNs, but the hospital plans to add midwives to the team with their very own midwifery practice, giving moms more support throughout their pregnancy.
